What do you do with the things that weigh on you? Most of us carry them and keep going until the weight feels normal. The words we use — a burden, a heavy load, something weighing on us — may be more literal than we think. Quietly, without pause, one organ decides what stays, what changes, and what must leave.

This November, our Reconnection Series turns to the Liver. The Liver, is the body’s largest internal organ, resting beneath the right ribcage. Two streams of blood reach it: blood from the digestive organ carrying absorbed nutrients, and oxygen-rich blood supplied through the heart. The liver processes what arrives; it sorts, stores reserves such as vitamins and iron, and produces bile to support digestion. The gallbladder stores and concentrates some of the bile until needed. The liver also stores reserves like vitamins and iron and sends signals to distant parts of the body. After tissue is lost, it can regrow to its original size, then stop.

Look at the parallels between the liver and our lives, and you will notice both are interested in decluttering and balancing the flow. But when we absorb other people’s responsibilities, swallow words to preserve a relationship, or accept expectations that were never ours to meet. Frustration, anger, bitterness, and resentment can grow beneath the managed appearance with nowhere to go. Eventually, carrying becomes habit, and the weight begins to feel like our own.

We may have forgiven someone or understood what happened, yet the body still holds what it never had the chance to complete. Energetically, what we absorb but don't own settles in the field as density, and the longer we hold it, the more the flow narrows.

More than two thousand years ago, Plato described the Liver in Timaeus as a smooth, bright surface upon which thought could leave impressions, like images in a mirror. That impression invites a question: how clearly can we recognise ourselves beneath everything we have taken on? For me, returning to our original design means reconnecting with the self that duty, disappointment, or other people’s expectations haven't defined entirely. Your worth was never measured by what you could carry, and recognising that something is enough does not diminish the love or effort you have given.

I invite you to join me for a Light Language, live with a replay meditation. Together, we will connect with the Liver’s energetic intelligence, with the intention of releasing the heaviness of carrying what was never yours. I will guide you through a meditation focused on responsibilities taken on too early, emotions absorbed from others, and expectations that were never yours to meet.

The Light Codes will work through the Liver at a cellular and energetic level, releasing what it was never meant to hold; you will feel renewed capacity to act: the courage to turn an intention into a decision and a decision into movement, without the hesitation that comes from carrying too much. Discernment may sharpen, giving you a clearer inner sense of what nourishes you and what doesn't. With the weight lifted, the Liver’s expansive energy brings in optimism, faith, and abundance, so you can move forward with room to grow.
